A Wintzell's Oyster House Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations. They are responsible for upholding Wintzell's standards for high-quality meals in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and mixing foods.
  • Cook meals using grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Follow recipes and portion-control guidelines.
  • Ensure food is presented attractively and served on time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas.
  • Monitor food inventory and notify supervisors of shortages.
  • Store food properly and follow health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with menu preparation and special dietary requests when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
