A Wintzell's Oyster House Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations. They are responsible for upholding Wintzell's standards for high-quality meals in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and mixing foods.
- Cook meals using grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Follow recipes and portion-control guidelines.
- Ensure food is presented attractively and served on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas.
- Monitor food inventory and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Store food properly and follow health and safety regulations.
- Assist with menu preparation and special dietary requests when needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
